About me
I am a Research Scientist at Adobe Research India. My work focuses on how documents and content can be transformed for easier and more effective human and machine consumption, with an emphasis on faithfulness, safety, and usability.
Prior to joining Adobe, I completed my PhD in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, under the guidance of Dr. Sriram Ganapathy. My doctoral research explored multimodal modeling of emotion in spoken language, including emotion-aware pretraining, emotion recognition in conversations, and zero-shot emotional style transfer in speech. I was fortunate to be part of the vibrant LEAP Lab during this time.
Before my PhD, I worked as a Data Scientist at IBM India Pvt. Ltd., where I contributed to client-facing projects involving deep learning for object detection and tracking in video. I also explored natural language processing problems during this period.
I hold a Master’s degree in Control and Computing from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.
